The Grown-ups' corner
Settings, the subscription and links are in the Grown-ups' corner: tap the "Grown-ups' corner" lock on the home screen, then answer the grown-up question. There you set the hero's name and age, the storyteller, reading, the learning goal and the catalogue.
Subscription
- The first story, "The Friend Who Fell from the Sky", is free. The others need the subscription, monthly or yearly, with a one-week free trial.
- There is no account: the subscription is tied to your Apple ID. On a new device, use "Restore purchases" in the Grown-ups' corner.
- To cancel: iPhone or iPad Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The storytellers' voices
The evening storyteller reads the stories. Her voice is generated by artificial intelligence (currently with Google Cloud) and recorded in advance. The app downloads it over Wi-Fi, then keeps it on the device: without a connection, the device's own voice reads. By default, the storyteller says a generic first name (Léa or Tom). In the Grown-ups' corner, a parent can choose to have her say the child's real first name: the chosen names, the hero's gender and the family members named in the same sentences are then sent so that she can say those sentences, and we do not keep them. The details are in the privacy policy.
Privacy
No ads, no account, no audience measurement, no tracking. The name and reading history stay on the device, except for the storyteller name option above. "Erase all data", in the Grown-ups' corner, erases everything.
