Terms of Use and Sale
English translation. The French version prevails.
Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Il était un choix app, published by MH Conseil & Stratégie (see the legal notice), and the sale of its subscription. They supplement Apple's standard license agreement for apps (EULA), which also applies.
The service
The app offers illustrated, narrated stories for children aged 3 to 7, in which the child makes choices. The first story is free. The other stories, whether they come with the app or are added later, are available with a subscription.
Subscription
- The subscription is offered monthly or yearly, at the prices shown in the app at the time of purchase, all taxes included.
- A free trial may be offered with the first subscription. At the end of the trial, the paid subscription starts unless canceled at least 24 hours before.
- Payment is charged to the Apple account when the purchase is confirmed.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can cancel at any time in your Apple account settings (or from the app's Grown-ups' corner). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid.
- Family Sharing is enabled.
Right of withdrawal
By confirming the purchase, you request immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal as soon as this access begins (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code). Refund requests are made to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).
Content
The stories are written and illustrated with the help of artificial intelligence tools, then reviewed and approved by a person before publication. The storytellers' voices are generated by artificial intelligence. The texts, images, sounds and the app are protected by copyright. They are for private, family use only.
Liability
We do our best to keep the service available and the content suitable for young children. The app is designed to be used with a responsible adult. We cannot be held liable for interruptions caused by Apple, the network or force majeure.
Personal data
See the privacy policy: the app collects no personal data. The only exception is when a parent turns on the "first name said by the storyteller" option: the chosen names are then sent so that the storyteller can say the sentences that carry them, and we do not keep them.
Disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts have jurisdiction.
